Category: Aging Smart

More and more aging adults are living independently longer. This independence calls for an increased need to make certain older adults are safe in their homes. The most common accidents involving older people are related to falls, burns, and poisoning. Unfortunately, older persons living at home are also often the target of criminals that prey on their victims in a variety of ways. If you are caring for an older person or if you are an older adult living alone, there are some things that you can do to stay safe. In this module we will talk about safety. Safety in the home, walking and traveling, and staying safe online and with social media as well as detecting scams. Please note that this module is not available for continuing education.
